Driving the digital revolution

DXC Technology | The Economist Group

A brand film for DXC Technology, shot with Indycar stalwarts Team Penske, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

There is an IT revolution at the beating heart of Indycar racing. This film shows how Team Penske’s partnership with DXC is at the forefront of that change – utilising innovative digital technologies to obtain marginal gains, and secure a winning edge in a highly competitive field.

The film illustrates how every action in the car of Team Penske driver Simon Pagenaud is relayed immediately to engineers at the trackside; and that it’s vital to have fast, real time information to make immediate, crucial decisions.  Small tweaks could mean the difference between coming first or coming second. We learn what engineers do with live information during race, qualifying and practice sessions, to achieve optimal performance during races. The film illustrates how DXC works with Team Penske in this capacity.

And away from the track, we find out how DXC have worked in collaboration with Team Penske to allow them to thrive on change – using digital transformation to fundamentally enhance their engineering process, and achieve crucial marginal gains.
