The Beewolf

Add a short description of the project here, it will appear on the Work page only.
A short natural history film about Beewolves, fronted by Zoologist and BBC Wildlife presenter Ross Piper.
Beewolves are solitary, predatory wasps which mostly prey on honey bees. Once the prey is paralysed by the Beewolf, it is taken inside an underground tunnel where it becomes food for the wasp’s larvae when they emerge.
The film aimed to capture this fascinating underground behaviour, some of which had to be filmed in captivity. Through the employment of some specialist macro equipment and endoscopic lenses, this film proves that no subject is too small or too difficult for Zest!
